Sunset on the beach at Costa do Sauipe

This is going to be a very Jacques Cousteau / J. Peterman type entry...

The beaches in Brazil really are the best I've ever been to. The sand is fine and soft like powdered sugar, and is home to little creatures and mini-shells alike. Literally the size of the top part of your pinky!

The sunsets at 4:30pm in Brazil. By 9:00pm, a quiet darkness looms over Costa do Sauipe. Parties are begin at 9pm, and end right around 2am just in time for the sunrise at 4:45am.

And as the sun goes down, the sand cools to a soft temperature to match it's soft nature. The tide gets a little rougher, and the waves a little louder. But it's neat; the sun warms up the water throughout the day. So when the tide washes in and touches your feet, it feels really warm against the cool sand. This is Brazil. This is Costa do Sauipe in October.
